R290 – The future of refrigerants
R290 (propane) is a natural, non-toxic refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP=0) and extremely low Global Warming Potential (GWP=3), making it the most ecological choice for modern thermohydraulic installations.
SOLE SA heat pumps utilize this environmentally friendly medium with high thermal exchange efficiency, offering maximum energy efficiency and low operating costs.
Safe use of R290 with multiple protection system
SOLE SA has incorporated an advanced safety system specifically designed for the use of R290, which includes:
- Refrigerant leak detection,
- Automatic operation lock in case of destabilization,
- Automatic ventilation system with a deaerator which, in the event of a failure, redirects the gas outside the home,
- Specially constructed, hermetically sealed housing of the electrical components,
- Automatic user notification in case of failure.

- DC Inverter technology for precise control and energy savings of up to 50% compared to old-style ON/OFF compressors and up to 75% compared to old-style oil boilers,
- Support for operation at extreme external temperatures: -15°C hot water output of 70°C and uninterrupted system operation even at -25°C.
Smart management and connectivity
Each unit is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi module, enabling management via an IoT cloud platform with remote control, while supporting multiple languages for the convenience of the end user.
In addition, the series supports Smart Grid functions, allowing cooperation with Photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
Hygienic use and installation flexibility
SOLE SA heat pumps feature programmable high-temperature disinfection of hot water to eliminate bacteria (e.g. legionella) and support for connecting up to 8 units in cascade mode, ideal for larger applications.
They are suitable for both heating and cooling, as well as for the production of hot water (DHW), making them an ideal solution for both residences, hotels and professional buildings with increased requirements.
